There once was a time when elegance was dull…
Black, white, and ivory; charcoal and cream. White rose and eucalyptus; peonies at a push. But in a rainbow of a flourish, elegance has changed. Evolved into something playful, and vibrant, and bursting with colour. And with A&A’s wedding in Relais Histo, that colour was everywhere.

Planned and styled by a dream-team of suppliers, this wedding editorial was simply joyful.
We had four exquisite bridal looks, and two epic tablescapes. Stunning florals in magenta and mango, violet, blush and butter yellow. And the setting? One of the most luxury wedding venues in Puglia.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding in Relais Histo, come take a little look.
This is elegance, in colour.
Relais Histo wedding venue in Puglia
The air here smells like lavender. Wild herbs, lemons, and the stone’s-throw sea.
There’s centuries-old olive groves, and flagstone courtyards; bougainvillaea and grapevines climbing the ancient walls. And at the centre of it all- the beautifully-restored, breathtakingly beautiful five-star villa.

And honestly? I cannot begin to tell you how incredible this place is! How peaceful, how romantic, how endlessly photogenic.
The laid-back atmosphere, the history in every detail. How your day just flows from one space to the next.
If you’re looking for a luxury wedding in Puglia, look no further. Relais Histo wedding venue is the place.
Two bridal looks, and a First Touch in the alcoves
Our morning began in the blissfully quiet rooms of Relais Histo wedding venue.

Angie padded the floor; barefoot and beautiful in natural hair and makeup, and her bridal lingerie. Andrea relaxed on the rooftop terrace, looking out across Puglia to the distant sea- effortlessly suave in his classic white tux.

We had a ‘First Touch’ in the drawing room- Andrea and Angie, talking to each other from the alcoves. A catch-up, a chat, and a “see you soon!” The sunlight pouring through the windows of that beautiful room.

Angie slipped into her second look of the day- a stunning ballgown from Carmela Comes Sposa. And with the ceremony calling, we headed outside to their wedding in Relais Histo.

The guests made their way through the sundrenched grounds. Pebbled pathways crunched underfoot; birds chirping away from the olive groves.
And as we first laid eyes on the ceremony space, each of us let out a little “oh wow!”

The aisle curved around naturally with the flagstone path- lined with statement-piece ceramics, and vibrant floral meadows. The altar overflowed with florals- ranunculus, roses, carnations and daisies. And behind them, the iconic villa climbed into the deep blue sky.

They had personal vows (read from the most gorgeous watercolour stationery!)

And as the ceremony came to a close, applause filled the gardens. And A&A walked hand-in-hand down the crescent-curved aisle.

A few moments for you
If you’re having your wedding in Relais Histo, I implore you– please make time for your couple’s portraits!
We wandered lazily through those blissfully quiet gardens. Through sunbleached courtyards and tumbling archways; passed ancient mosaics, and vine-covered walls.

It is just *the most* romantic place to spend time together as a couple. And as a Relais Histo wedding photographer, I could explore for hours and never run out of things to photograph!
Angie changed into her third look of the day- a chic, silk dress from Carmela Comes Sposa, a flowing lace cape, and a tulip cascade.

They strolled hand-in-hand, they laughed, they danced. And they weaved their way through the grounds to their reception.

Reception styling inspiration for your wedding in Relais Histo
Banqueting tables sat in a square around the towering palm; the air scented with oranges, rosemary and lavender.
And oh my, those tables were filled with colour. Daisies, roses, and carnations. Tableware and place-settings in oranges, yellows, and pinks

It was elegant, and romantic- vibrant, and joyful, and filled with life. And as A&A made their entrance, the guests erupted into napkin-waving cheers!

We sat in the sunny courtyard- chatting and drinking as dusk crept in. There was a watercolour artist doing paintings of A&A and their guests. The Lord of Truffle brought a fun, welcoming energy (and a truffle bigger than my fist!)

And after an epic millefoglie with fresh berries and cream, we headed inside for the feast.

An experience for the senses
The evening ended in the best possible way.
A huge banqueting table was laid out along the length of the great hall- filled with spectacular florals; the tulips flowing from the edges, and filling the floor.

Angie changed into her last look of the day- a playful party dress with a feathered hem. The DJ started playing, and the evening just unravelled!

They had fresh pasta made to order, and fresh truffles grated straight into the sauce (and directly into our mouths!) There was a cocktail artist, oysters and canapes, and rose-hued local wine.

It was such an incredible end to the day. Filled with energy, music, and laughter. And an experience for the senses in every way.
